Social Media Analytics and Competitive Benchmarking for OTT
A leading OTT platform wanted to understand how it's social media content was performing vs competitors, how audiences were talking about its content and brand across social media, and benchmarking its "Share of Voice" against competing platforms.

Where things stood
Social engagement tracking on Facebook/Instagram/YouTube posts was difficult due to unstructured data coming from 3P tools
Social media conversations were spread across multiple platforms, making it difficult to track brand perception, emerging audience trends, feedback on new shows, and content-level conversations in one place.
The marketing team also lacked a consistent view of share of voice, sentiment analysis and competitor performance, limiting its ability to respond quickly to market shifts.
What we built
Social media conversations, brand mentions, content discussions and competitor data were collected through social listening and monitoring tools.
The data was categorized by brand, content, topic, sentiment, platform and competitor, creating a standardized layer for trend analysis and benchmarking.
The data was stored in internal databases in structured manner and presented via dashboards
How it works
We built a social listening and competitive intelligence framework to track share of voice, sentiment, engagement and emerging conversations across key platforms.
Content and campaign performance was benchmarked against competitors to identify topics gaining traction, audience preferences and opportunities to strengthen the platform's social presence.
What we delivered and learned
Social media listening and brand monitoring framework helped understand Share-of-voice and competitor benchmarking.
Tracking what audiences talk about, not just how much they engage, provided stronger signals for content and marketing strategy.
Social media tracking helped formulate Online Reputation Management (ORM) strategies to enable quick remedial responses to controversial content.
